
Iced Matcha Latte
Ingredients:
- 1 tsp matcha powder
- 60 ml hot water (80°C, not boiling)
- 200 ml milk (or a plant-based milk such as almond, oat or coconut milk)
- 1-2 tsp honey, maple syrup or other sweetener (optional)
- Ice cubes
Preparation:
- How to make matcha : Strain the matcha into a bowl or glass to avoid lumps. Add the hot water and whisk with a bamboo matcha whisk (chasen) or a milk frother until smooth and frothy.
- Sweeten (optional) : Add honey or other sweetener and stir well.
- Build the latte : Fill a glass with ice cubes and pour the milk over it.
- Add Matcha : Pour the whipped matcha on top of the milk for a nice layered look.
- Stir & Enjoy : Give it a stir with a straw and enjoy your Iced Matcha Latte!
Want it extra creamy? Use barista oat milk or add a splash of whipped milk on top.
