
Matcha Lemonade Spritz
Refreshing, fizzy and bursting with flavour! This Matcha Lemonade Spritz combines the earthy notes of matcha with the freshness of lemon and the sparkle of sparkling water. Perfect for a summer boost!
Ingredients (for 1 glass):
- 1 teaspoon premium matcha powder
- 60 ml hot water (not boiling, about 80°C)
- 150 ml fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
- 2 tablespoons honey, agave syrup or sugar syrup (to taste)
- 150 ml sparkling water or soda water
- Ice cubes
- Lemon slice and mint leaves for garnish
Preparation method:
- Sift the matcha powder into a bowl and add the hot water. Beat well with a matcha whisk or milk frother until you have a smooth, frothy matcha.
- Squeeze the lemons and mix the juice with the honey or syrup. Stir until everything is well dissolved.
- Fill a glass with ice cubes and pour in the lemon mixture.
- Carefully add the matcha for a beautiful two-tone layer.
- Top with sparkling water and stir gently.
- Garnish with a slice of lemon and some fresh mint leaves.
Tip: For an extra festive touch, add a dash of ginger beer or serve it in a pretty cocktail glass!
